The pot with AromaPlus lid features a steel core with a durable enamel surface and stainless steel handles. Combining the functions of a saucepan, stockpot, casserole and baking pot, it is ideal for versatile cooking – from one-pot dishes and slow cooking to baking bread. What makes it special is the interplay between the pot and the AromaPlus lid. Together, they form a carefully designed cooking system in which material, shape, moisture and heat work in perfect harmony. The stepped design on the inside of the lid directs rising steam and cooking juices back onto the food. This creates a closed moisture cycle that naturally bastes the food, keeping it juicy while preserving its aromas. The heat-retaining and flavour-neutral properties of enamel support even, gentle cooking while preserving the natural flavour of the ingredients. Sear, deglaze, braise, continue cooking in the oven and then serve directly from the pot: the pot with AromaPlus lid accompanies the entire cooking process, with no need to transfer food between cookware. This makes it particularly suitable for dishes that benefit from slow cooking to develop their full flavour. The extra-thick walls and base retain heat effectively and release it slowly and evenly to the food. At the same time, the pot is considerably lighter than conventional cast-iron cookware, making it comfortable to handle every day. For optimum results in the oven, we recommend a temperature of 220°C. Storage has also been carefully considered: thanks to their tapered shape, the pots can be nested inside one another to save space. With the lids turned upside down and placed on top, the pots can also be stacked securely.
Before first use: Remove the sticker, fill with boiling water and vinegar, and let it sit for a short time.
Cleaning in the dishwasher: RIESS enamel can be washed in the dishwasher. However, we recommend hand washing to ensure long-lasting enjoyment of enamel’s brilliant shine. If you use the dishwasher, select the gentle glassware program to preserve the gloss and vibrant colors of the enamel for as long as possible. For sparkling clean pots and pans, use the gentle glassware program and the cleaning products from our partner Claro. You can find all tips on dishwasher care in this video.
- Before cleaning off food residues or burnt-on remains, fill the still-warm cookware after cooking and emptying with warm – never cold – water and dish soap. After a short soaking period, the cookware can be cleaned effortlessly.
- For particularly stubborn or burnt-on residues, briefly boil water with dish soap.
- For cleaning, use RIESS Enamel Care or a mild scouring milk, as well as the smooth side of a sponge or a soft brush.
- Avoid using wire brushes, steel wool, abrasive powders containing sand or sponges with ceramic particles.
More helpful care tips
- Store the cookware well dried. Any lime stains can be easily removed with vinegar water.
- If flash rust appears on exposed enamel edges or the rim, it can be easily removed with dish soap.
- Exposed enamel edges can be re-oiled from time to time with cooking oil.
