The lid for the loaf pan is much more than just a lid: it is a baking aid, serving tray and barbecue grill plate all in one. The loaf pan is ideal for baking both bread and cakes. When baking bread, the pan can be closed with the lid. Adding a little water creates steam inside, helping the bread to bake beautifully and develop a wonderfully crisp crust. The lid can also be used when baking cakes, particularly moist, denser varieties such as fruit cake, loaf cake, nut cake or chocolate cake, where it helps prevent the top from browning too much while retaining moisture. After baking, the lid takes on another role: bread or cake can be turned out directly onto it, then sliced and served. Thanks to its cut- and scratch-resistant enamel surface, the lid is instantly transformed into a practical serving tray. It is just as versatile on the barbecue: placed directly on the grill, it can be used for cooking and serving steaks, vegetables and other barbecue favourites. A versatile companion from the oven to the dining table and out to the barbecue.
Before first use: Remove the sticker, fill with boiling water and vinegar, and let it sit for a short time.

- Before cleaning off food residues or burnt-on remains, fill the still-warm cookware after cooking and emptying with warm – never cold – water and dish soap. After a short soaking period, the cookware can be cleaned effortlessly.
- For particularly stubborn or burnt-on residues, briefly boil water with dish soap.
- For cleaning, use RIESS Enamel Care or a mild scouring milk, as well as the smooth side of a sponge or a soft brush.
- Avoid using wire brushes, steel wool, abrasive powders containing sand or sponges with ceramic particles.
More helpful care tips
- Store the cookware well dried. Any lime stains can be easily removed with vinegar water.

- Exposed enamel edges can be re-oiled from time to time with cooking oil.
